Interior Plant Technician

We are looking for a great plant person!

We are a locally owned business located in Alexandria, VA, servicing DC and the surrounding DMV region. Our goal is to provide and maintain beautiful plants in commercial office environments. We are growing quickly and need smart, accountable people to join our team. Full-time employees receive PTO (paid time off), paid holidays, and a 4% retirement match.

A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interior Plant Technician is preferred. You will need a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. This job requires daily travel on a predetermined maintenance route to service plants at accounts throughout DC and the surrounding DMV area. Mileage is reimbursed.

You will be trained for 1 month prior to going out on your own. We fully expect there to be a learning curve, and we will be there to help and support you along the way. However, we do not expect to train the person in this position from scratch as it relates to basic plant care knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Performing weekly service of interior plants in commercial office buildings
• Watering, pruning, dusting, fertilizing, and pest monitoring
• Reporting any plant or customer issues to the office
• Periodically assisting with interior plant installations and plant rotations

Skills:

• Preferred experience as an Interior Plant Technician
• Knowledge of plant species, plant care, and common plant health issues
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve walking, standing, lifting, and carrying
