Cleaning Contractor

District Dusters is looking for reliable and detail-oriented independent cleaning contractors to assist with residential, commercial, and post-construction cleaning jobs throughout the DMV area. This is a flexible contractor opportunity where you can accept cleaning jobs that work with your schedule.

Pay Structure

Cleaning jobs are paid at a flat rate per job, not hourly.
Each job will show the total payout before you accept it, so you know exactly what the job pays in advance.

Scheduling System

Contractors receive access to our scheduling system where cleaning jobs are posted.

You will be able to:

• View available cleaning jobs in your area
• See job details, location, and payment amount
• Accept jobs that work with your schedule
• Track your assigned jobs and schedule through the app

This allows you to choose the jobs you want while maintaining flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of homes, offices, restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces according to service standards
• Remove dust, debris, and residue from construction or renovation projects for post-construction cleanings
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to properly sanitize and maintain surfaces
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and wipe down surfaces to maintain cleanliness
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and hygiene products when applicable
• Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals or operating cleaning equipment
• Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional attention
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Maintain professionalism while working in client homes or commercial spaces

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential, commercial, or post-construction cleaning preferred but not required
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaning tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality cleaning
• Good time management skills to complete jobs efficiently
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning instructions
• Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals is a plus
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the job

Requirements

• Weekday daytime availability required
• Willing to take jobs in Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to bring your own cleaning supplies unless otherwise specified
• Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
