Job Summary
District Coffee House is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Coffee Shop Associate to join our café team. This position will prepare coffee and other beverages, assist with food service, maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, and provide attentive service throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service.
Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and process transactions through the POS system.
Prepare and serve pastries, light food items, and other café products as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked beverage and service stations.
Operate coffee equipment and other café equipment safely.
Restock coffee, beverages, cups, ingredients, and other supplies throughout the shift.
Maintain cleanliness of counters, tables, floors, and customer-facing areas.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and beverage-preparation standards.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Communicate effectively with other café team members.
Help create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications
Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food-service experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
