Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business and People Assistant to support our community's business operations. This role assists the Director of Business and People with payroll processing, new hire onboarding, employee benefits, administrative tasks, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards while serving as a key point of communication with Distinctive Living's home office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with timely payroll processing and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork, onboarding, and employee benefits paperwork.
- Support data entry for HR and payroll systems.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, document creation, office organization, and back-up receptionist duties.
- Assist employees, residents, families, and visitors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with accounting, timekeeping, and payroll systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
