Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a highly skilled Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services within a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in family medicine, with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care across diverse populations. This role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions, promoting health and wellness, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Family Practice Physician will play a vital role in fostering a compassionate environment that emphasizes preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR/EHR systems.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with patient needs and preferences.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups, including conditions related to cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pulmonology, and more.
• Utilize medical imaging and diagnostic radiology tools to support accurate diagnoses when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as specialists in anesthesiology, oncology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), neurology, and others to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Provide health coaching and preventive services such as immunizations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling to promote wellness.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with NCQA standards.
• Participate in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery.

Experience

• Post-residency experience in family medicine or primary care settings is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management.
• Experience managing inpatient and outpatient cases within hospital or clinic environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and documentation standards essential for billing and compliance.
• Familiarity with a broad spectrum of specialties including internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, emergency medicine, psychiatry, and perioperative care enhances clinical versatility.
• Prior experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine settings is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and delivering patient education.
• Additional expertise in areas such as pain management experience, wound care, infection control practices, or specialized procedures like suturing can be beneficial for comprehensive patient care.
