What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Supervisor position at Distinct Recruitment?
Tax Supervisor | International Tax | Spanish Speaking | Coral Gables | Hybrid
You can learn International Tax at plenty of firms.
Finding a Partner who genuinely wants to invest in your career is a lot harder.
I'm working with one of Miami's leading independent CPA firms that's looking to hire a Spanish speaking Tax Supervisor with International Tax experience.
The Partner hiring isn't simply filling a gap in the team.
He's looking for someone to work alongside him. Someone who enjoys the technical side of tax, is comfortable building relationships with clients, and wants to become a key part of the firm's future.
If you're at the stage where you want more than just another promotion, this could be exactly that.
Why this firm?
Culture isn't something they talk about because they have to.
It's something you notice almost immediately.
People genuinely enjoy working here. The Partners are approachable, the team is close, and success is measured by more than chargeable hours.
When people have gone through difficult periods in their personal lives, leadership has responded with flexibility, support, and understanding. No corporate slogans. Just people looking after people.
The firm has remained proudly independent, with no Private Equity ownership and no pressure to chase growth at the expense of its culture. They've built an excellent reputation through long term relationships with both clients and employees, and that's exactly how they intend to keep growing.
The role
You'll work directly alongside one of the firm's Tax Partners, advising international businesses, privately owned companies, and high net worth individuals on a wide range of International and Domestic Tax matters.
This isn't a role where you'll spend all day hidden behind tax returns.
You'll be involved in client meetings, help solve complex tax issues, and gradually become someone clients trust and Partners rely on.
The long term vision is clear. Become the Partner's trusted right hand person and help shape the future of the International Tax practice.
What they're looking for
- Public Accounting tax experience
- International Tax experience
- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Strong technical tax knowledge
- Someone who enjoys working directly with clients
- Ambitious and looking for a long term career, not just their next job
Work life balance
Busy season is still busy, but it's sensible.
The firm operates on a hybrid basis, although the Partner values spending time together in the office for collaboration, mentoring, and learning. It's an environment where questions are encouraged, development happens naturally, and you'll never feel like just another number.
Benefits
80% employer paid health insurance.
401(k) match.
Biannual bonuses.
15 days PTO.
Annual Bahamas firm cruise.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a firm where people build careers, not exit plans.
If you're looking for a firm where you'll be trusted, developed, and given genuine exposure to clients and leadership from day one, I'd be happy to tell you more.
