What firms are looking for
Current or recent CPA firm / public accounting experience is essential.
CPA or EA is useful for many Tax roles, but not always essential depending on level.
For Audit Manager roles, CPA is often preferred or required, but there are also opportunities for strong Audit Seniors and Supervisors who are still working towards it.
