What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Civil Litigation Attorney position at Distinct | North America?
Senior Civil Litigation Attorney | Williamsburg, VA (Remote or Hybrid) | $140,000 to $275,000
You've done the hard part. Seven years or more of taking cases from the first letter to the jury.
So where do you want to spend the next seven?
I'm recruiting a senior civil litigator for the Williamsburg office of a national, full service Am Law 100 firm. It's a role for someone who runs cases from inception through trial, and insurance defense experience is a plus. Remote and hybrid options are both available.
What they bring
- A national platform with full service practices. When a client needs something outside litigation, there's a colleague in the firm to call.
- Bonuses on two tracks, one discretionary and one tied to objective measures.
- Student debt repayment assistance and a full benefits package.
- Pay that, in the firm's words, reflects business generation. Bring a book and ask me how much it moves the number. I'll get you a straight answer.
What you bring
- An active Virginia license.
- 7 or more years of civil litigation.
- Cases handled from inception through trial.
- Insurance defense experience. A plus, not a dealbreaker.
The money
- $140,000 to $275,000 .
- The range spans two levels. A strong senior litigator would come in at senior counsel. Someone with a deeper trial record or portable business could be considered toward partner level.
