A leading AM50 firm with a specialist Labor and Employment practice is seeking an attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience for its Chicago office.

The role combines sophisticated employment litigation with practical counseling work. You will help employers respond to active disputes while also advising them on the policies, decisions and compliance issues that can prevent future claims.

Your work will include:

• Defending discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour claims

• Advising employers on day to day workplace issues and compliance matters

• Managing litigation and administrative proceedings from inception through resolution

• Drafting pleadings, motions, position statements, agreements and workplace policies

• Conducting depositions and attending hearings, mediations and arbitrations

• Working directly with partners and clients on litigation and risk management strategy

Candidates should be admitted to the Illinois Bar and have 2 to 5 years of relevant employment litigation or counseling experience. Strong academics, writing, analytical and matter management skills are essential.
