Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Buyer located in North Brunswick, NJ. The Junior Buyer will assist the supply chain team in purchasing and material management. Responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, maintaining vendor relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production needs, and adhering to budget requirements.
- Planning Support: Assist in analyzing data and supporting inventory level decisions to meet business objectives
- Supplier Partnership: Support supplier communications, assist with subcontracts, and help build supplier relationships
- Procurement Excellence: Process and track purchase orders through ERP systems accurately and in a timely manner
- Process Optimization: Assist with configuration management activities and support implementation of revision changes & ECO’s
- Quality Assurance: Track supplier performance and delivery schedules, flagging issues and supporting improvement efforts
- Diverse Materials Management: Learn to source and manage diverse materials including electronics, circuit board assemblies, metalwork, plastics, and glassware
Qualifications
- 1 years in purchasing and/or materials planning (internship or co-op experience welcome)
- Some exposure to or coursework in MRP, inventory management, and/or ERP systems
- Exposure to supplier management, cost awareness, and sourcing concepts
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment is a plus; pharmaceutical industry familiarity is a bonus
- Basic familiarity or willingness to learn technical document interpretation (drawings, specifications)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with working knowledge of Excel
