Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and cash drawer management.
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques.
• Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage to promote responsible consumption.
• Upsell additional products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, retail math calculations, and managing retail sales transactions with professionalism.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Conduct product demos for customers to highlight features and benefits of new or popular items.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock replenishment, and participating in stock audits.
• Foster a positive shopping environment through effective communication skills, teamwork, and adherence to store policies.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a cannabis or related industry; supervising experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both in person and over the phone.
• Ability to handle cash handling duties accurately, including cash drawer handling and retail sales transactions.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Basic math skills for balancing cash registers and performing retail calculations confidently.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor to create an inviting shopping experience.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods while assisting customers and managing store operations.
