The Dish Food Truck is a small seasonal food truck business looking to hire a food truck operator/cook to oversee the business operations. We need a responsible person on our team that’s passionate about cooking and managing a small team that can serve an excellent eating experience. The manager must be professional, energetic, and driven.
Responsibilities:
In charge of opening and closing the food truck during operating hours.
Must be able to fill in should an emergency absence occur.
Be able to train food preparation staff.
Ensure grill, fryer and food preparation tables are clean by the end of the day. Will also check gas lines and other equipment regularly.
Excellent knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines when handling food.
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Must be able to safely drive and park a food trailer.
Ensure the safety of the operations.
Responsible for keeping the inventory and supplies up to date.
Responsible for driving the truck and must open and close the food truck for all events.
Must be able to multi-task.
Prepare food orders as they come in.
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
Follow all menus, menu plating instructions, company guidelines and procedures to maintain food consistency.
Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
Ability to drive and park the food truck at scheduled events.
Has excellent communication skills.
Has experience in the food industry.
Basic math for inventory and cashiering purposes.
Works well in a team setting.
Maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior when interacting with customers and co-workers.
Self-motivated, organized, maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior.
Familiar with industry’s best practices.
This is a seasonal position May through October. Must have the ability to work every weekend during the busy food truck season. Have the ability to walk, stoop, bend and stand for a long period of time during his or her shift and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have efficient multi-tasking and time management skills.
