What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food production process operator position at Food Producer?
We are looking for a disciplined and detailed cook/operator to make our products. Our products include top-quality all-natural sauces, marinades and dry mixes.
Your primary job function will be making and packaging food products according to scheduled processes.
Food production experience is preferred
Mechanical aptitude is required
Quality and safety are top priorities, must be able to understand and follow good manufacturing practices (GMP), and monitor and enforce product quality requirements
Must be able to direct and lead production line workers
Responsibilities will include performing or overseeing the following:
-Follow and enforce food safety/sanitation procedures
-Add and mix ingredients per formula in a steam-operated kettle
-Ensure all critical process steps are followed
-Properly record critical process steps
-Measure/record critical process data
-Operate, monitor, and make necessary adjustments to required systems and equipment, including:
-Automated bottling system
-Steam boiler and piping system
-Steam-operated kettle and agitator system
-Compressed air system
-Electric pump and sanitary piping system
-Clean/disassemble/re-assemble cooking and bottling line equipment
-Clean and sanitize food production equipment and production room
Must be able to physically perform required operations including
-standing for hours at a time
-lifting containers up to 50 pounds and pouring into steam kettle
-stirring, scraping steam kettle
-manipulate production machine components and sanitary piping and fittings
-move quickly around production room to monitor processes and make necessary adjustments
