Responsibilities:

- Implement Developmentally appropriate lesson plans in collaboration with the educational team

- Sincerely love children and help them develop social competencies

- Provide individualized attention and support to toddlers in various educational activities

- Manage classroom activities, transitions, and routines effectively

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under care

- Engage in family partnership and meaningful conversations.

- Plan and organize creative art projects and physical activities for children

- Willingness to lead enrichment activities as needed.

- Support mealtime food distribution, monitoring, and clean-up

- Willingness to learn Childcare Management App and update it as a team.

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and have teaching experience in early education setting.
• Maintain all dcyf standards
• 30 Hours Child Care Basics certificate (must be obtained within 30 days after being hired)
• Food handlers permit & First Aid & CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens
• TB test
• MMR (proof of immunity)
• First aid and CPR (current)
• Portable background check (through MERIT)
• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Be able to squat, kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's health and safety
• Meet Discovery Village Academy’s policies and requirements

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
