Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
• Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
• Engage children in activities that support language development, motor skills, and emotional regulation using evidence-based teaching strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates
• Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, nap times, meal times, and outdoor play
• Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety and reporting them promptly to appropriate authorities
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate sensory activities, early intervention techniques, and inclusive practices for children with special needs

Skills

• Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Proficiency in curriculum development focused on early literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills
• Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while maintaining a nurturing environment
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare best practices
• First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies
• Experience implementing classroom management strategies that support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or requiring early intervention
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment when applicable
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities and promote active learning

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
