Position Overview
The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where children ages 18-36 months can learn, grow, and thrive.
This role includes classroom leadership, lesson planning, mentoring support staff, maintaining strong parent communication, and fostering a positive classroom culture learning and play-based education.
Our Lead Teachers are nurturing, organized, dependable, and passionate about early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging weekly lesson plans and classroom activities
- Create a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Lead classroom routines, transitions, and daily schedules
- Maintain positive communication with families through Playground App and daily interactions
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and supplies
- Participate in trainings, meetings, school events, and professional development
- Support school-wide initiatives, policies, and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with leadership and fellow educators
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience in childcare, preschool or early childhood education preferred
- Degree or coursework in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, organized, and professional classroom environment
- Passion for working with children and making a difference
- Reliable transportation required

Schedule & Pay
Full-Time
Monday–Friday
Business Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour
(Pay based on experience, education, and qualifications)
