We love to partner with you to provide internships, field experience, practicum hours, and skill building opportunities for your future adventures. All of our roles at camp are Monday-Friday, and the typical day is 8:20am-3:20pm, with additional hours available.

Summary: Discovery Day Camp’s staff are enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who lead campers through a variety of activities on a daily basis outside. Each staff works with a direct supervisor in a team approach to mentoring, problem solving, and goal-setting. This role requires strong group management skills, high energy and flexibility. Join our community of 85 staff and 300 campers ages 4-14 on 10 acres of activities that include athletics, outdoor adventure, performing and visual arts, special events, swimming, and so much more! Leadership Development Internship opportunities are available in roles that focus on specific camper age groups (opportunity available in our Preschool age group).
Discovery Day Camp is a family owned, directed, and American Camp Association accredited camp. That means that each summer you join us to work together to provide the highest standards of staff and campers’ health and safety.
Discovery Day Camp is a day camp located in the Vernon Hills, Illinois area with no on-site staff housing.
