Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic equipment and schematics.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to powertrain systems, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repairs.
- Repair or replace components related to vehicle transmission systems, powertrain, suspension, alignment, and electrical systems.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including engine repairs, diesel engine troubleshooting, welding, and general mechanical repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace vehicle parts while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections and repairs on automotive wiring harnesses, sensors, and electronic modules to ensure proper system operation.
- Assist in auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating findings clearly.
- Maintain detailed records of diagnostics performed, repairs completed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and wiring diagram analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and vehicle alignment procedures.
- Mechanical expertise in powertrain repair, vehicle suspension system repair, transmissions, and diesel engine troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with automotive service tools including hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic scanners.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of automotive wiring diagrams and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Service technician experience with a focus on customer service excellence and auto estimating skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards for all repairs performed.
