Overview: The furniture installer / delivery / builder / warehouse associate will mainly prepare orders, receive office furniture deliveries, deliver furniture, install furniture, move furniture, and build customer orders of office furniture. Work includes working with others: building furniture, skilled furniture assembly and installation, moving furniture, delivering furniture, assembling furniture, loading furniture on and off trucks, organizing warehouses.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with managers to determine orders to be built; then responsible for items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Has experience with POWER TOOLS.
- Has reliable source of transportation and valid license
- Able to drive a box truck and deliver furniture solo if needed
- Organizes deliveries, warehouse, stock items, etc.
- Relocates materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Fills custom orders, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places on dollies or shelves
- Opens bales, boxes, crates, and other containers.
- Takes into account items built and distributed
- Records materials or items received.
- Other duties as assigned - Requires knowledge, skills and competence
- Ability to follow written and verbal assembly directions.
- Ability to converse, read, and write in English
- Mechanically inclined and can read and follow instructions
- Verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to keep a steady mindset in a fast paced environment
- Position requires workers to be on their feet all day, lifting and moving heavy boxes and items
