What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) Coordinator position at DISC Village?
We are looking for a JAC Coordinator fill an immediate opening on our team.
The Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) offers an array of comprehensive services for individuals under the age of 18. These programs provide a composite of assessment, case management, intervention, outpatient, and other community and school-based services for adolescents with delinquency and substance abuse issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Completes daily service entries in the agency billing system for direct services provided to clients. Review data entered to ensure that program Screeners are billing their daily service units and monitor staff direct unit production.
- Conducts monthly program Screener staff meetings with assigned unit staff and maintains typed agendas and meeting minutes. Conduct bi-weekly Civil Citation Case Management staffing meetings to discuss client progress and contract compliance with Case Management staff
- Acts as the liaison for all community partners and ensures our partnership and relationship with law enforcement is maintained.
- Performs hiring, training, disciplinary and supervision of the JAC Screeners and Civil Citation Case Managers with the assistance of the JAC Supervisor.
- Completes file reviews when “on-duty” to ensure timely submission to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
- Ensures Civil Citation Case Managers are trained and are in compliance with goals and objectives.
- Shares in the rotation of after-hours on-call responsibilities for the screening review process with the JAC Supervisor and Lead Screener.
- Pay: $45,760.00 - $49,920.00 per year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the Social or Behavioral Science field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the juvenile justice, mental health, and/or chemical dependency field is preferred. A master’s Degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality with high ethical standards.
