Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Adaptive Aid Specialist to join our San Antonio office. This role is essential in coordinating adaptive aids and minor home modifications that enhance the lives of our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls related to adaptive aids and home modifications.
- Manage procurement processes including obtaining bids and evaluations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, correspondence, and reports.
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup of documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date and complete medical records.
- Conduct follow-up communications with Case Management Agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and clients.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years clerical experience in an administrative setting.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with adaptive aids and home modifications is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn agency-specific software.
- Typing speed of 35 wpm with 80% accuracy; Excel proficiency at 80% accuracy.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto liability insurance.
- CLASS and DBMD training provided by DSSW.
