Company Description

Direct One is a national leader in direct mail and commercial print, specializing in creating highly personalized, data-driven campaigns that deliver measurable results. By leveraging cutting-edge automation and innovative strategies, we redefine the direct mail industry with hyper-targeted communication solutions. Committed to excellence, we provide outstanding customer service and ensure optimal outcomes for every client.

The Role

We are hiring a dependable, organized Material Handler to join our 1st shift production team, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a hands-on role that keeps our digital press area moving: staging paper stock and supplies, keeping the presses fed, and moving finished work to the next step in production. The Material Handler works alongside the Digital Press Operator at the direction of the Warehouse and Production Manager and helps the press run without interruption throughout the shift.

Primary Responsibilities

  • - Pull, stage, and deliver paper stock, envelopes, and supplies to the digital press area according to the daily production schedule and job tickets.
  • - Load paper stock into the digital presses and keep them supplied throughout the shift so the Digital Press Operator can stay on the press.
  • - Move printed output from the press to bindery, lettershop, or fulfillment on carts and pallets, clearly labeled with job ticket information.
  • - Receive, count, and put away incoming paper stock and supplies; rotate stock and keep storage areas organized.
  • - Operate a pallet jack (and forklift, if certified) to move skids safely on the production floor.
  • - Count, verify, and record materials used and finished quantities against the job ticket.
  • - Break down skids, remove waste and recycling, and keep the press area, aisles, and staging zones clean, safe, and organized.
  • - Flag low stock, damaged materials, or missing supplies to the Warehouse and Production Manager before they stop the press.
  • - Support cross-training and assist the Digital Press Operator and other production areas when needed.
  • - Follow all safety protocols and collaborate with team members to meet daily production deadlines.

What You Bring

  • - 1 years of warehouse, material handling, or production floor experience preferred; print or mail production experience is a plus.
  • - Ability to read and follow job tickets, pick lists, and production schedules accurately.
  • - Basic math and counting accuracy; comfortable using an RF scanner or inventory system.
  • - Pallet jack experience required; forklift certification is a plus.
  • - High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • - Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and stand and walk for the duration of the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • - Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • - Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

What We Offer for eligible positions:

  • - Starting pay of $16.00/hour with room to grow based on skill and performance.
  • - Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • - Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • - Stable, year-round, full-time day shift work at an established, growing company.
  • - Real opportunity for advancement. We promote from within and invest in cross-training.
  • - Modern equipment and a clean, professional production floor.

Direct One, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening and drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
