POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a professional position providing clinical supervisory oversight for Family Intensive Treatment (FITT) under the Families First Division. FITT is an intensive, wrap-around treatment program for parents with at least one child under 10 years old that are involved with child welfare due to substance misuse. Wrap-around services are an evidence based, research supported practice. By providing wrap-around services, FITT assists in reducing the impact parental substance use has on the family, community, and child welfare system. The FITT Team includes a Counselor to address therapeutic needs, a Behavioral Health Case Manager to improve parents’ ability to access community resources, and a, Peer Recovery Specialist to provide lived-experience mentoring. These services are provided in the community.

 

The Supervisor of Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) will play an integral role of support, coaching and guidance for a team of Counselors and Behavioral Health Case Managers who are working with parents with a substance abuse, mental health or co-occurring mental health & substance abuse concern. The Supervisor of Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) will ensure that the Counseling and Behavioral Health Case Management services being delivered are individualized, recovery-focused and allow individuals the opportunity to learn how to manage their own recovery and advocacy process. This position will be a subject matter expert on interventions of counseling and behavioral health case management staff that serve to enhance the development of recovery, natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills. The supervisor will ensure that the Counseling and Behavioral Health Case Management services emphasize personal safety, self-worth, confidence, and growth, connection to the community, boundary setting, planning, self-advocacy, personal fulfillment, and development of social supports, and effective communication. The position will monitor that the Counseling and Behavioral Health Case Management services provided emphasize the acquisition; development; expansion of rehabilitative skills needed to move forward in recovery. The supervisor will ensure that the Counselor and Behavioral Health Case Manager collaborate with the other service providers, such as psychiatry, SOAR, and Homeless Services. If the parent/s are not engaged in and need these other services, the supervisor will provide education on these services and help to coordinate initiation, as clinically appropriate. If these services are recommended, but members parent/s are not yet willing to engage, this should be documented in the service notes and the supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the documentation. This is a field position. The Supervisor of Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) is responsible for ensuring a total annual client facing client care number of 8084 hours combined for all staff, which reflects a minimum of 1,316 annual hours of client facing client care per counselor/therapist (4) and 1,410 annual hours of client facing client care per Intensive Case Manager (2) on the team. Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly and annual client facing client care hours is an essential function of this position

Qualifications:

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must hold a Master’s Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university with three (3) years of clinical experience and one (1) supervisory experience. in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed children.
  2. Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
  3. Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW preferred, but not required.
  4. Must become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator in high fidelity Wraparound and become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach within 3 months of employment. Preference will be given to individuals who are currently certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach in high fidelity Wraparound.
  5. Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
