What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (2nd Shift) position at Direct Wire?
Direct Wire & Cable is hiring a Material Handler to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing raw materials, supplies, and equipment at our Production Facility.

Duties:
- Coordinate and stage raw materials, reels, pallets and other essential supplies to the appropriate areas on production floor. This includes coordinating and staging in queue copper, reels, pallets, and other manufacturing supplies; and perform inspections and maintain records for forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and place supplies in warehouse on pallet racks.
- Maintain company policies and procedure to ensure the highest quality.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Responsible for communication and assisting in cross-training.
Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Organized and ability to problem solve in an industrial environment
- Ability to operate material movement and packaging equipment
- Ability to communicate/work with coworkers to achieve common production goals.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
