Position Summary:
The warehouse forklift operator position is responsible for loading and unloading material in a safe manner. They are also responsible for the storage and staging of material. They are responsible for the safe operation of powered industrial equipment.
Essential Functions
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and policies.
- Load/unload incoming trucks.
- Ensure packing slip matches what is unloaded.
- Store incoming material in warehouse racks.
- Relocate items within the warehouse.
- Pull material to the production staging area.
- Pick up material from the Press Shop.
- Pull material for Press Shop and Laser department.
- Complete daily check list for the forklift.
- Remain vigilant.
- Check for damaged goods.
- Ensure product moved physically is also accurately moved in PrintStream
- Count and return leftover material.
- Accurately receive material.
Additional Responsibilities
- Duties as assigned by leadership.
- Sign in and deliver FedEx/UPS packages.
- Complete own move sheets if receiving employee is busy.
- Stack and sort through pallets.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with DMS Values and Code of Conduct
- Always adheres to all DMS policies and procedures
- Learns and adheres to all Information Technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
- Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety
- Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Fork truck and Clamp experience a plus
- Able to maneuver up to 1,000 pounds (rolls)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Stong computer skills, including all Microsoft products
- Ability to interpret various forms of instructions and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work with a team
- Excellent decision and problem-solving skills
Available Shift:
1st Shift Monday- Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm
