Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for an immediate opening. The position is for first shift / daylight. The ideal candidate has a strong history of forklift operation and order building, must have knowledge of managing and shipping product via F.I.F.O obeyance, be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and have established skill in forklift operation.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to load / unload materials and products, timely and accurately.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock locations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve warehouse efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for effective order picking.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
