Equipment Maintenance Position Summary
The Equipment Maintenance Manager manages, maintains, and schedules all mechanical aspects of the Production and Press Departments.
Equipment Maintenance Essential Functions
- Manages the daily functions of the maintenance staff to ensure operations is performing at an optimal capacity.
- Manages equipment repairs and maintenance for the Operations Departments.
- Supervises all Maintenance Technicians including monitoring attendance and performance.
- Provides constructive feedback to employees and identifies training and development opportunities.
- Monitors, orders, and manages inventories of all spare parts used in all Operations Departments.
- Maintains, updates, and trains employees on all lockout/tagout policies and procedures.
- Recommends any necessary machine updates and equipment purchases.
- Manages product and vendor pricing processes.
- Communicates with the Press & Production Supervisors/Managers to ensure proper staffing and coverage.
- Optimizes the layout for newly purchased and existing machines.
- Completes additional assignments and special projects as needed.
Equipment Maintenance Additional Responsibilities
- Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Operations Director as needed.
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS values and the Code of Conduct.
- Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
- Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
- Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.
Equipment Maintenance Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Direct mail, postal, or previous management experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage and work with a team
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Organized work methods and a sense of urgency
- Results orientation, optimistic, and self-confidence
