What You'll Do:
The Benefits Administrator (BA) administers all employee health and welfare benefit plans including 401k administration and leaves of absence (LOA) for one or more locations as assigned. This includes review, preparation and processing of DMS health and welfare plans, open enrollment activities and all related benefits reporting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary liaison for DMS employee benefits with benefit plancarriers, providers, brokers, and regulatory agencies as
- Works with Payroll to ensure all enrollments and changes to employee health and welfare benefit coverages are accurately updated in a timely manner.
- Ensures 401k deductions and loan repayments are properly administered and deducted accurately and in a timely manner from employee paychecks.
- Reviews and reconciles benefit statements and coordinates with the Finance and Accounting team on payment of
- Generates reports; research questions and issues; conducts employee benefit surveys as assigned; and provides information to carriers, providers and brokers as requested.
- Coordinates and participates in annual benefits open enrollment and other benefits meetings.
- Preps and regular distributes informational literature and verbal presentations to notify and advise employees of eligibility for benefits programs during open enrollment and throughout the plan year as required.
- Stays updated on current employee benefit and perquisite trends and makes recommendations for changes and additions to current benefit programs.
- Works closely with leaders to interpret policies and procedures related to benefits; regularly communicates requirements for benefits administration compliance.
- Responds to employee questions and issues related to employee benefits, 401k and leave issues; works with carriers, providers, and brokers to resolve
- Manages/administers state and federal LOA and Paid Sick Leave programs for one or more locations as assigned.
- Reviews, maintains and manages employee leave and benefit records, reviewing for accuracy and analyzing data for required and requested benefit and leave summary reports. Maintains benefit records in accordance with recordkeeping
- Stays current on related benefit administration trends and best-practice approaches and methodologies.
What You Need To Have:
- At least 5 years' experience processing and administering employee benefits
- Experience using Employee Navigator or ADP Benefits Self-Service platforms
- Basic knowledge and experience administering defined contribution plans
- Exemplary computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word,Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines

The Fine Print:
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. Typical office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm Eastern Time.
This is a hybrid position, mostly onsite as needed.
