Shipping Line Lead

WEEKEND Shift: Friday-Monday 6:30am-4:00pm

Job Summary:

The Shipping Line Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shipping operations within the fulfillment center. This hands-on leadership role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can guide team members, ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, and support overall shipping logistics. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of warehouse operations, experience with shipping equipment and software, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Oversight

• Provide direction and daily oversight to the shipping team to meet productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
• Train and mentor shipping staff on best practices for picking, packing, labeling, and equipment operation.
• Monitor work performance, support team development, and escalate performance concerns to management as needed.
• Ensure adherence to fulfillment procedures and company shipping protocols.
• Coordinate workflow to ensure priority orders, retail shipments, and bulk orders are fulfilled efficiently.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

• Pick, pack, and prepare supplement orders for shipment based on customer and business requirements.
• Operate autobag machines and other packaging equipment to ensure efficient and safe packaging.
• Accurately label, verify, and dispatch packages to carriers.
• Assist in meeting shipping deadlines for DTC (Direct-to-Consumer), wholesale, and retail channels.

Inventory Management & Quality Control

• Maintain real-time inventory accuracy and promptly report discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Organize materials in designated locations and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain records via Warehouse Management System (WMS) and physical logs.

Retail Store Fulfillment

• Oversee the preparation and shipment of inventory to company-owned or affiliated retail stores.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate replenishment and timely delivery.
• Manage returns and exchanges from retail partners in accordance with policy.

Warehouse Operations & Safety

• Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with receiving and stocking new inventory shipments.
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
• Support cross-training initiatives and adapt to shifting priorities as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fulfillment Site Manager.

Job Requirements:

• 1 years of experience in shipping/fulfillment or warehouse lead role (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to operate an autobag machine or willingness to learn.
• Proficient in basic computer use, scanners, and WMS software.
• Familiarity with major shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, USPS) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion for extended periods.
• Basic math skills and ability to read labels and shipping documentation in English.
