Trust & Estates Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Trust & Estates Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta, Georgia office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of trusts and estates experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and fiduciaries on estate and wealth transfer planning
- Design and implement advanced estate planning strategies, including gift tax planning, charitable giving, and irrevocable trusts
- Draft and review wills, trusts, and other sophisticated estate planning documents
- Counsel trustees and executors on trust and estate administration
- Guide fiduciaries through estate administration and applicable tax and probate matters
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of trusts and estates experience
- Strong knowledge of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax laws
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
- Ability to independently manage complex matters while collaborating with a team
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Georgia Bar admission
