Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Trademark Associate Attorney to join a leading law firm in Washington, D.C.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling trademark and copyright matters, including trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and intellectual property disputes. This role offers the opportunity to advise clients on domestic and international trademark matters, copyright issues, licensing, and brand protection.
Responsibilities:

Handle trademark prosecution, including applications for U.S. registration and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

Counsel clients on domestic and international trademark disputes, clearance, and selection.

Manage U.S. and international trademark portfolios, including ongoing maintenance.

Advise clients on copyright matters, licensing, and domain name disputes.

Support intellectual property litigation matters as needed.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and foreign trademark counsel.
Qualifications:

3–5 years of relevant trademark and copyright experience.

Strong understanding of U.S. trademark prosecution and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rules and procedures.

Experience with trademark prosecution and TTAB proceedings preferred.

Litigation experience is a plus.

Excellent academic credentials, research, writing, and communication skills.

Active membership in the D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Salary Range: $260,000–$365,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
