This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned plaintiff's attorney to manage complex, high-value personal injury matters while mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape the continued growth of a highly successful pre-litigation practice.
Location: West Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $190,000 – $230,000 DOE Performance Bonus Comprehensive Benefits

The Senior Pre-Litigation Attorney will independently manage sophisticated personal injury matters from intake through settlement while serving as a mentor and leader within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Case Strategy & Management
- Independently manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload from intake through settlement.
- Develop legal strategies based on liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall case value.
- Analyze medical records, future medical treatment, and damages.
- Evaluate complex liability issues and exposure.
- Monitor statutes of limitation and critical case deadlines.
- Identify matters requiring litigation and coordinate seamless transitions to the litigation team.
Settlement Negotiations
- Prepare comprehensive settlement demand packages.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
- Maximize client recoveries through strategic negotiations.
- Participate in mediations and settlement conferences as appropriate.
- Resolve complex and high-value personal injury claims efficiently.
Client Advocacy
- Serve as the primary legal advisor throughout the pre-litigation process.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding case status and strategy.
- Counsel clients on settlement recommendations and expectations.
- Deliver exceptional client service while building lasting relationships.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.
- Provide guidance to case managers, legal assistants, and support personnel.
- Review work product to ensure quality and compliance.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with attorney development and training initiatives.
Department Leadership
- Collaborate with firm leadership to improve operational efficiency.
- Help develop best practices and standardized workflows.
- Support quality control initiatives and process improvements.
- Contribute to departmental performance and client satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- 8 years of plaintiff personal injury experience with significant pre-litigation experience.
- Demonstrated success independently handling complex, high-value personal injury matters from intake through settlement.
- Extensive settlement negotiation experience.
- Strong understanding of California personal injury law, insurance coverage, and damages analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Experience with catastrophic injury, wrongful death, trucking, premises liability, and other complex injury matters.
- Experience supervising attorneys or legal staff.
- Mediation and advanced settlement negotiation experience.
