Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate experience to join a highly regarded Real Estate, Environmental & Land Use practice in Connecticut.
Ideal candidates will have experience handling complex commercial real estate and real estate-related finance transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, mortgage and mezzanine financings, equity investments, leases, and related due diligence. Experience with federal and state environmental law, including environmental due diligence for the purchase and sale of environmentally impacted properties, is a plus.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week while fostering collaboration with the broader Real Estate team.
Responsibilities

Handle complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leases

Conduct due diligence and advise clients on real estate and environmental matters

Work closely with developers, institutional investors, lenders, landlords, tenants, and corporate clients

Provide high-quality, client-focused legal counsel throughout the transaction lifecycle

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client objectives efficiently
Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated commercial real estate transactional experience

Strong written, verbal, and client-facing skills

Team-oriented with ability to work independently and proactively

Connecticut Bar admission in good standing (required)
