Public Sector Law Associate - Lansing, MI
Direct Counsel is seeking an associate attorney to join an AmLaw 200 firm for their Education & Municipal Law business unit in Lansing, MI. All candidates must have 2-5 years of experience specifically working in water resources/drain law and an active Michigan Bar License.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with public sector clients on water resources and drain law matters.

Handle matters involving environmental compliance, land acquisition and easements, eminent domain, land use regulation, contracts, construction, and litigation.

Support clients across all aspects of water resources-related legal work.
Qualifications:

2–5 years of experience working specifically in water resources/drain law.

Familiarity with real estate, environmental, construction, and financing matters.

Detail-oriented and organized with a solid work ethic..
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $120,000 – $135,000 annually (DOE).
