Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection litigation matters
- Handle state and federal court litigation, including class action matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Assist with regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
- Advise clients on privacy and cybersecurity risks, compliance issues, and incident response matters
- Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with multiple stakeholders on fast-moving matters
- Support arbitrations, investigations, and complex data privacy disputes
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 2–4 years of litigation experience
- Experience with privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, or class action litigation preferred
- Experience defending claims under privacy statutes such as CCPA/CPRA, TCPA, CIPA/ECPA, CMIA, CEMA, COPPA, BIPA, and/or FCRA preferred
- Exposure to regulatory investigations involving agencies such as the FTC, DOJ, SEC, state attorneys general, or international regulators is a plus
- Experience with or interest in security incident response
- Strong understanding of technology and emerging digital platforms
- Excellent analytical, organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-facing experience
- Admitted and in good standing with the State Bar
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $235,000 – $310,000 annually
