Patent Agent (Patent Prosecution)

This role is ideal for a patent agent with at least one year of patent prosecution experience and a strong technical background. The position focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for cutting-edge technologies across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review invention disclosure materials and conduct inventor interviews

• Perform prior art searches and analyze patentability

• Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications

• Respond to USPTO office actions and conduct examiner interviews

• Develop prosecution strategies and manage U.S. and foreign dockets

• Support due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses

• Collaborate closely with attorneys and technical professionals

Qualifications:

• USPTO admission required

• Minimum 1 year of patent prosecution experience

• Technical background in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or chemical engineering

• Experience in one or more of the following technologies preferred: hardware/devices, software, database systems, artificial intelligence, wireless technologies, image or signal processing

• Prior law firm experience strongly preferred

• Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills

Work Environment:
Hybrid schedule with approximately 60% in-office attendance.

Compensation:
$130,000 – $200,000 base salary, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
