This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong private funds experience looking to work on complex fund formation, structuring, and investment management matters within a highly regarded national platform.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including:
- Hedge funds
- Venture capital funds
- Private equity funds
- Structure and draft documentation for:
- Upper-tier management entities
- Bonus and carried interest plans
- Handle sophisticated secondary transactions, including:
- GP-led restructurings
- Fund continuation vehicles
- Assist institutional investors with:
- Investments in private funds
- Co-investment transactions
- Advise clients on laws and regulations governing private funds and investment managers
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of large law firm experience in investment management/private funds
- Strong experience with private fund formation and fund-related transactions
- Familiarity with private fund structures and applicable regulatory frameworks
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Active Massachusetts Bar membership required
Compensation
Expected salary range in Massachusetts: $225,000 – $435,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
