Direct Counsel is partnering with an Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney to join its Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety (LEWS) team in Newark, New Jersey.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of employment and labor law experience to join a highly respected practice handling complex counseling, litigation, and transactional employment matters for major corporate clients.
What You’ll Do
Advise employers on workplace compliance, policies, investigations, and employment-related issues.
Represent clients in employment litigation and agency proceedings.
Draft and negotiate employment agreements, handbooks, and separation documents.
Support the employment aspects of M&A transactions and restructurings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and client development.
What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of labor and employment law experience at a reputable firm.
Strong writing, research, and client advisory skills.
Experience with employment litigation and workplace investigations.
Familiarity with M&A employment issues preferred.
Trial experience is a plus, not required.
Admission to practice in New Jersey.
Compensation
$220,000 – $250,000 base salary, commensurate with experience and market factors.
