Labor & Employment Associate – Management Labor Relations
St. Louis, MO | Mid-Level | 3–5 Years Experience
Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a talented Labor & Employment Associate to join its Management Labor Relations practice in St. Louis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a labor attorney who wants to advise sophisticated employers on complex union and labor relations matters while working with an experienced, collaborative national team.
The Role
- Advise employers on labor relations matters under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
- Represent clients in labor arbitrations and NLRB proceedings.
- Handle unfair labor practice charges and related disputes.
- Assist employers with union organizing campaigns and labor strategy.
- Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
- Provide practical, strategic counsel on complex labor and employment issues.
- Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national practice.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the Management Labor Relations practice.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of labor relations and union experience.
- Experience advising employers under the NLRA.
- Experience with NLRB proceedings, labor arbitrations, collective bargaining, ULP charges, or union organizing.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, advocacy, and client counseling skills.
- Excellent judgment and ability to navigate complex matters.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and client-focused.
- J.D. and active Missouri Bar admission required.
