I.P. - Technology Transactions (Life Sciences) Associate

Direct Counsel is partnering with a premier technology and life sciences law firm seeking Associates for its rapidly expanding Life Sciences Technology Transactions practice. This group advises some of the most influential biotech, pharmaceutical, digital health, and emerging technology companies worldwide—helping them bring groundbreaking therapies and platforms from discovery to regulatory approval.

About the Role

The firm is seeking candidates with 2–4 years of experience handling:

• Licensing agreements

• Strategic collaborations & joint development arrangements

• Commercial partnering transactions

• Representation of biotechs and large pharmaceutical companies in transactions related to:

  • Novel therapeutics

  • Vaccines

  • Diagnostics

  • Digital health technologies

  • Clinical development and FDA regulatory pathways

Experience working with AI-native or AI-driven life sciences companies—particularly those applying machine learning to drug discovery, diagnostics, or R&D—is a strong plus.

Bar Requirements

Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state of the office applied to—or eligible to sit for or waive into the next bar exam.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $235,000 – $310,000

• Discretionary performance-based bonus
