Direct Counsel is seeking a Fund Formation Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm’s private investment funds practice. This position is available in Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco.
About the Role
The firm is seeking an attorney with 2 years of private investment fund formation experience. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience representing both sponsors and investors across the full lifecycle of private investment funds.
Key experience includes:

Executing fund formation transactions

Handling sponsor-level matters, including general partner and management company structuring

Assisting with secondary transactions involving limited partner interests or portfolio company interests

Advising on a range of complex fund-related matters within a sophisticated corporate practice
Candidates should have prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm and strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

Expected annual salary: $235,000
(Final compensation depends on location, skillset, and experience.) -
