Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment Transactions Associate Attorney to join an Am Law firm’s Corporate / Private Equity practice in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto.This role is ideal for a mid-level associate with strong company-side employment law experience who is interested in focusing on transactional support and counseling within M&A and private equity deals.Key Responsibilities:Lead employment-related diligence for M&A and private equity transactionsAdvise clients on day-to-day employment mattersDraft and review employment agreements and related documentationAnalyze complex labor and employment issues in transactional contextsInterface directly with clients and deal teamsMentor junior attorneys and support broader practice initiativesQualifications:4–6 years of company-side labor & employment experienceExperience supporting M&A transactions and handling employment diligenceBackground at an Am Law 100 or comparable firm preferredStrong drafting, analytical, and communication skillsJD from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the California Bar requiredWork Environment:Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and flexibility for remote work.Compensation:$310,000 – $390,000 base salary, depending on experience and location.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
