Direct Counsel is representing a reputable law firm seeking a mid-level Associate (2 years) to join its Employment & Trade Secret Litigation team in New York. This practice handles high-stakes employment disputes, internal investigations, and employment issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. You will advise innovative clients, including startups and Fortune 500 companies in technology, life sciences, green energy, and cleantech.
Key Qualifications:

2 years of management-side employment law litigation and counseling experience

Experience with terminations, leaves of absence, reductions in force, policy drafting/review, and employee mobility issues (trade secrets, non-competes, solicitation)

Advising clients on employment matters in corporate transactions and M&A

Member of the New York Bar and resident in New York

Excellent academic credentials and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Compensation:
$235,000 per year; discretionary merit bonuses may apply
