Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join an international management-side labor and employment law firm.

The firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 years of litigation experience to join its Kansas City team. This is an in-office opportunity for an attorney looking to build and grow their practice under the mentorship of experienced partners.

Candidates with employment litigation experience are preferred, though attorneys with several years of general civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

The attorney will work collaboratively on litigation matters from start to finish while also advising clients on day-to-day employment matters and helping businesses navigate challenging situations.

• Handle employment litigation matters through all stages of litigation.

• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery.

• Manage discovery and case strategy.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Draft and argue motions.

• Participate in mediations.

• Work directly with clients on day-to-day employment matters.

• Educate and advise clients regarding employment-related challenges.

• Collaborate with attorneys and team members on complex matters.

• Utilize innovative technology and legal platforms to enhance client service and efficiency.

• 2 years of litigation experience.

• Employment litigation experience preferred.

• Attorneys with several years of general civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
