Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing day-to-day employment advice and counseling to employers, with a strong background in employment policies, workplace compliance, employee relations, and employment agreements. The attorney will work directly with clients while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a team-oriented environment.
ResponsibilitiesCounsel employers on day-to-day employment law matters.
Advise clients regarding workplace policies, procedures, and compliance.
Draft and review employment policies and procedures.
Advise employers regarding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) matters.
Draft and review employment contracts and agreements.
Provide employment law training to management and employees.
Conduct workplace investigations.
Research and analyze developing employment laws and regulations.
Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to clients.
Manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across the practice.
5 years of employment law experience.
Strong background in employment advice and counseling required.
Experience counseling employers on day-to-day workplace issues.
Experience drafting and reviewing employment policies and procedures.
Experience handling ADA and FMLA matters.
Experience drafting employment contracts and agreements.
Workplace investigation and training experience.
Excellent academic credentials.
Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the Washington Bar required.
The salary range for this position is $195,000–$215,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Actual compensation will depend on experience, seniority, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
