Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney

About the Role
Direct Counsel is partnering with a premier law firm to recruit a junior-level associate attorney for its rapidly growing Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice. This Chambers-ranked team advises clients across the full lifecycle of privacy and cybersecurity matters. The position may be based in either the Chicago or Dallas office.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients in responding to data breaches and managing incident response.

• Assist with privacy and data breach litigation.

• Advise on global privacy compliance and regulatory obligations.

• Provide guidance on data protection issues in complex corporate transactions.

• Work with U.S. state and federal privacy laws; prior exposure is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Junior-level associate with relevant experience in privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, or technology-related matters.

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Interest in building a career within a highly regarded privacy and cybersecurity practice.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000–$260,000, depending on experience and other job-related factors. The firm offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
