Position Overview
Direct Counsel is exclusively representing a prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm seeking two mid-level Corporate Associates for its Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidates will possess 2 to 5 years of sophisticated corporate law experience. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a top-tier practice, working on complex matters alongside industry-leading attorneys.
Key Responsibilities & Practice Areas
Selected associates will handle high-stakes corporate transactions. Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions
- Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Securities law compliance
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) representing buyers and sellers
- Public Finance matters and municipal bond offerings
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant corporate law experience at a peer law firm.
- Education: Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- License: Active bar membership in good standing (or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar).
Compensation & Financial Benefits
- Base Salary: $235,000 - $365,000 (Exact salary based on graduation year classification).
- Bonuses: Eligibility for discretionary merit-based bonuses.
