Associate Attorney - Corporate

 Direct Counsel represents a respected law firm in Pasadena, CA who is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 years of experience in general corporate and business law to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Partners and Senior Attorneys on a variety of sophisticated corporate matters. Hybrid schedule flexibility available on a case-by-case basis. 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing assignments independently, handling a steady workflow in a billable environment, and maintaining a strong attention to detail. Candidates should also have an interest in working with public agency clients, including cities, counties, water districts, and other governmental entities.

Responsibilities

• Support Partners and Senior Attorneys on a broad range of corporate and business law matters


• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents


• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, correspondence, and corporate filings


• Assist with entity formation, governance, compliance, and operational matters


• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and agency representatives


• Manage deadlines and workload in a fast-paced legal environment

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in corporate or general business law


• Active California Bar membership in good standing


• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively


• Interest in representing public agency clients is strongly preferred


• Ability to meet a 1,800 annual billable hour requirement

Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities and additional incentive compensation.
