Job Title: Full-Time Dishwasher
Location: Dionne Commons Assisted Living Facility

Reports To: Dining Services Director / Kitchen Manager

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment at Dionne Commons. This position supports the dietary team by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room and kitchen areas
- Properly store all clean items in designated areas
- Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks including floors, walls, and equipment
- Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when needed
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with staff and residents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
Work Schedule
- Full-time position (typically 32–40 hours per week)
- Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
