Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Worthington, MN, for an Elementary School Principal PreK-8. The Elementary School Principal will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring high-quality education and support for student development. Responsibilities include curriculum development, staff supervision, budget management, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. The Principal will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the community to promote the mission and values of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. St. Mary's Catholic School in Worthington, Minnesota, is seeking applicants for the principal position for the 2026-2027 school year, with a prospective start date of July 1, 2026.
Qualifications
- Experience in Educational Administration and Educational Management to oversee school operations and policies effectively
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development and Elementary Education to support academic standards and student growth
- Strong leadership skills in Educational Leadership to inspire and guide staff and students
- Commitment to fostering a faith-based, inclusive, and collaborative school environment
- Master’s degree in Education
- Licensure or certification in school administration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, parents, and the broader community
- Practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church with a strong commitment to and working knowledge of the Catholic faith.
